As a registered nurse and someone who has been personally impacted by diabetes and AuDHD, I know how overwhelming it can be to manage diabetes with a neurodivergent brain.

I always wondered why I just couldn’t seem to get up to treat the low until it was urgent. Wondered why I was so frequently paralyzed with indecision in front of the refrigerator at meal time and unable to consistently remember a bolus when I finally did eat.

I felt so much shame and my friends, family, and diabetes team just didn’t understand why I couldn’t diabetes “correctly.” Neither did I – and that might have been the most frustrating part. Why couldn’t I just do what they told me to do?

That’s why I created Busy Brain Diabetes – to give other neurodivergent diabetics the support I needed when I first started out.

I offer deeply custom support for all areas of how your brain and your body work differently.

The main things I want to make sure you get good quality support around are:

  • Understanding your unique triggers as it relates to management and creating custom solutions that work for your life
  • Learning how to increase time in range and decrease dramatic highs and lows with different ways of thinking about management
  • Learning specific strategies for improving your overall health and relationship to being diabetic in the first place
  • Providing custom and hands on support for navigating a complex and frustrating healthcare system
  • Helping you plan your year ahead as a diabetic, including navigating insurance formularies, planning for big vacations, creating a good at home emergency supply kit and so much more

Even if you are uncertain where to start, I know with 30 minutes together you’ll have more clarity on what your unique triggers are…so book a call and chat with someone who actually gets you.
